# Club Night Privacy Policy

Club Night is a personal shooting-club record-keeping app. This policy explains what information the app handles, why it is handled, and the choices available to you.
## Our approach to privacy
Club Night is designed to keep your club activity, score, licence, firearm and storage records under your control. The app does not operate a separate Club Night account system or a Club Night server that staff use to browse your records.
Club Night is a record-keeping aid only. It does not submit licence, permit, club, police, or firearms-registry applications on your behalf.
## Information you choose to store
You may choose to enter or capture information such as:
– club names, addresses, contact details, approval numbers, membership details and membership-card images;
– firearms, frames/receivers, barrels, serial numbers, registration numbers, storage locations, ammunition and registration paperwork;
– firearms licence number, card number, categories, expiry date, other identity-document details, and licence-card images;
– match details, scores, scorecard images, optional target images, notes and attendance-period settings; and
– subscription status supplied by Apple through StoreKit.
You do not need to enter every field to use Club Night. Enter only information you are comfortable keeping on your device and in your iCloud account.
## How information is used
Club Night uses the information you enter to provide its features, including:
– calculating attendance progress from your firearms configuration and evidenced scored shoots;
– recording scores, scorecards, target images and equipment used;
– preparing on-device attendance and score reports for you to save, print or share; and
– showing expiry and renewal reminders.
Club Night does not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or provide a social-media feature for publishing your records.
## Storage, iCloud and security
Records are stored in the app’s local database. If you use iCloud and iCloud sync is enabled for the app, records may also sync through Apple’s CloudKit service between your devices signed into the same Apple Account.
Sensitive record fields—including licence and card numbers, identity records, storage addresses, firearm serial and registration numbers, membership details, and scorecard images—are configured for encrypted CloudKit storage. The related encryption material is managed through your iCloud Keychain. Club Night does not keep a separate recovery key or a separate server-side copy of that material.
This design means that if iCloud Keychain is reset and no trusted device retains the encryption material, encrypted cloud copies may be unrecoverable. Keep a trusted device signed into your Apple Account if you rely on iCloud sync.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode, keep its operating system up to date, and use Club Night’s optional device-owner authentication lock where available.
## Camera, photos and documents
Club Night requests camera access only when you choose to capture a licence card, membership card, firearm photo, registration paperwork, scorecard or target image. It uses Apple’s system photo picker when you choose images from your library and Apple’s document scanner when you choose to scan a document. Captured or selected images are stored only as part of the record you choose to save.
## Apple Watch companion
If you install the Club Night Apple Watch companion, the iPhone app may send it a limited activity summary through Apple Watch Connectivity. This summary can include attendance progress, aggregate match count, average score percentage and a renewal countdown. It does not send scorecard images, firearm serial numbers, licence or card numbers, storage addresses, identity documents, or individual score records to the Watch.
## Subscription and payments
Club Night subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account. Club Night receives only the subscription entitlement information required to determine whether the app is unlocked. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
## Reports and sharing
Reports, PDFs and images are created on your device. If you choose to share, export, print, email or save a report, the recipient, destination and any external service you select handle that information under their own privacy terms. Please check report contents before sharing them.
## Data retention and deletion
Your records remain on your device and, where enabled, in your iCloud data until you delete them, remove the app, or manage the relevant iCloud data. Deleting a record in Club Night removes it from the app database and may sync that deletion to your connected devices.
Uninstalling the app removes its local data from that device. It may not immediately remove records already held in iCloud or device backups; manage iCloud storage and backups through Apple settings if required.
## Information we do not collect through Club Night
Club Night does not intentionally collect location data, contacts, advertising identifiers, browsing history, cookies, or analytics data for advertising. The app may link you to official government or club websites for reference. Those external sites have their own privacy policies.
## Children
Club Night is not directed to children. Do not use the app to store another person’s personal information unless you have authority to do so.
## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Club Night changes or as legal and technical requirements change. The latest version should be made available with the app or on its support website. The “Last updated” date shows when it was most recently revised.
